Difference Leaders Programme
The Difference Leaders Programme offers:
A two-year post in the senior leadership team of a pupil referral unit (around 50 - 100 pupils), with opportunity to lead school improvement in Teaching & Learning in Year 1 and in Wellbeing & Safeguarding in Year 2.
A salary matched to your current salary (up to L14).
Bespoke school improvement support and leadership coaching from The Difference team.
Dedicated time to learn and to lead: a 40-60% teaching timetable; an afternoon per fortnight of dedicated supervision time; 6 days per term release of off and on-site training.
Specialist CPD in:
Developing teaching and learning
Improving pupils’ post-16 destinations
Child development, mental health, effective whole-school approaches, interventions with families and multi-agency collaboration
Traditional and contextual safeguarding (incl. child sexual and criminal exploitation, substance misuse and addiction)
Accredited specialist NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership).
Support to return to a senior leadership post in mainstream after the two-year programme. This may include leading CPD in a partnered mainstream school in your second year on the programme.
